Plant Description
A 20 “5 micron series sediment pre-filter removes solid suspensions and particulates from the water that can damage membranes and pressure pump.
A 20 “10 micron series extruded block activated carbon pre-filter is essential when the supply water is from the mains (aqueduct);
It mainly removes chlorine from water, which can damage membranes, and also removes heavy metals.
The solenoid valve (24V solenoid valve) is normally closed, it allows the passage of water in the system only with the electric motor running.
1.5 kW multistage electric pump.
Two membrane containers in high pressure 4040 VTR (maximum tolerated pressure 400 psi approximately 27 bar).
Two HYDRANAUTICS membranes with 98% rejection rate and a filtration capacity of 4400 gallons / day.
A pressure switch that allows you to stop the system when the outlet tap is closed or when the tank is full and restart the machine automatically.
A control valve – is the handwheel valve that allows the system to be pressurized (10/12 bar) or washing the membranes
once fully open.
Correct start-up of the plant
Before starting the system, fully open (turning counterclockwise) the control valve.
Make sure that the mains water tap (system supply) is open.
Start the system electrically (start button) and wait for the water to come out of the drain pipe.
Start closing the control valve (turning clockwise) slowly until the pressure gauge reaches 10/12 bar.
ATTENTION never to exceed this pressure limit and not to completely close the control valve, otherwise there is a risk of damage
irreparably the membrane.
The system is started and automatically acts on requests.
Applications
Refinement of drinking water, elimination of impurities, chlorine, chlorine derivatives, pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, heavy metals, microorganisms.
In all processes in which the use of demineralized water is foreseen, production of drinking water from wells or sources with values within the limits of the operating conditions.
Maintenance
Replacement of prefilters approximately every three months.
Replacement of osmotic membranes approximately every 5 years.
Periodic washing and disinfection of the membrane;
Periodically, by acting on the control valve, the membranes can be washed as follows:
With the system running, open (by turning counterclockwise) the control valve and leave it in the fully open position for about five minutes,
this allows the membranes to get rid of any micro sediments.
When the operation is complete, reposition the control valve so that the system pressure returns to the operating values (10/11 bar).
Reference directives
The system is built in accordance with the Ministerial Decree 443/90, to directives 2006/42 / EC – 73/23 / EC -2004 / 108 / EC and is excluded from Directive 97/23 / EC (so-called “PED”)
relating to pressure equipment as Article 3 of the Directive itself applies.
